Even in 2021, members of the LGBTQ+ community still encounter a full range of behaviors throughout their careers. While progress towards an inclusive work environment has been made, there are still striking reports of the amounts of LGBTQ+ workers who are closeted at work or made fun of.

Spencer Stuart requires leaders from outside the LGBTQ+ community to be visible allies to bring about substantive and lasting change. Set the tone from the top and start with knowing what an ally truly is and understanding that words matter. However, also including DE&I metrics as part of measuring performance is also part of their list.
